City of Zachary Invites Bids for Historic Virginia Street Properties

The City of Zachary has issued an invitation for bids for three historic Virginia Street properties in the Historic Downtown of the City, including the Allison House (Louisiana Creole Cottage Style,) the Bauman House (Queen Anne Style,) and the McHugh House (Queen Anne Style.)

“Zachary has a rich history, and these properties are important not only to our City’s past but to its future as well,” said Zachary Mayor David Amrhein.

Interested bidders should complete a bid form on each immovable property sought and deliver the bid form in a sealed envelope to the Mayor’s office by July 15th at 5:30 p.m.  Sealed bids will be opened July 16th at 10:00 a.m. Terms and conditions of the sales, as well as sealed bid information is available at City Hall, 4700 Main Street, Monday – Thursday, 7am – 5:30pm.

In addition, it you have an item on loan at one of the three above mentioned homes, we ask that you email the City of Zachary Historical Director, Mary.landry@cityofzachary.org as soon as possible for safe return.  Please provide a detailed description of the item, along with a loan agreement between you and the City of Zachary.
