Antiques at the Crossroads

One of the distinct pleasures of living in Louisiana is the abundance of flea markets and antique malls just waiting to be explored by resourceful shoppers seeking merchandise and memorabilia from the bygone days. Some folks call it “picking,” others call it “junking” or “antiquing."  Zachary is proud to say that it is home to two large, popular antique markets, together offering over 125 vendor booths. And the best part is they are both indoor markets!  While visiting Zachary, we invite you to roll up your sleeves and dig for long-lost treasures by heading to the corner of Plank and Zachary Deerford Roads.

First, stop on your journey, Antiques at the Crossroads, located at 20130 Plank Road. Listed in 2015 on the “Only In Your State” website, this venue was named as one of the ten “Most Amazing Antique Stores in Louisiana."  The 2100 square foot building is packed full of furniture,

dishware and art selections. Take a look around; you might just find a treasure. The market offers antiques, collectibles, primitives, old tools, cast iron, linens, vintage clothing, Fried Green Tomato Candles, original artwork, as well as handmade jewelry and signs.  Antiques at the Crossroads also rents out merchandise for barn or rustic weddings and outdoor events.

The shop has an outdoor table where all the merchandise is $1.00 or less, and all proceeds are given to the local Fire Department for breast cancer research. They offer free coffee every day. So come in, enjoy the coffee and swamp pop music they have playing, look around and have fun.

Hours: Tues. – Sat., 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

4 Sisters Antiques & Etc.

Just a mile down the road from Antiques at the Crossroads is 4 Sisters Antiques & Etc., located at 21126 Plank Road.  Here you can find over 100 booths, all located under roof in a 22,000 square-foot old machine shop. 4 Sisters Antiques has a mix of antiques, collectibles, and new accessories, as well as vintage jewelry and items. Here you will find one of the largest antique malls in the state.  Don’t be surprised if you see Hollywood crews loading up 18 wheelers full of vintage items to be used as props for local movies that are filmed all over the state!

Each year on October, 4 Sisters holds their Annual Fall Sale and Open House.  We invite you to turn corners, look up and down and hunt for the perfect antique piece! You won’t be disappointed.
